to a dry wash

this site, as we all know, is called “the dry wash”. it is called such for various very economic reasons. i have spent time in dry washes before the naming of this blog (in fact the name was taken from one such experience). this weekend i spent quite some more time in a dry wash… trying to get a car out of said dry wash.

joshua tree national park, for those unaware, has some fabulous dry washes, many good for the camping, off-roading, and car-got-stuck-ing.

actually, i don’t know if we were ‘in’ joshua tree, we might have been ‘just outside of’, thus making our off-roading, camping, and etc (possibly) more legal.

  1. I want to see a picture of your stuck car, so I can laugh at you. Where is it?

  2. mmm, well, my dearest, we took no pictures. but, if you close your eyes, and imagine a little white GMC truck stuck up to its wheel well in sand in the middle of a desert… well then, there you go! almost as good as a picture.

    now you may commence laughter.
